Wasn't happy with the work ethic last night. Seems like Oilers game went to some of the youngsters head.

Yeah I was telling my kid Zemgus needed to be on the bench for a while. Then bam.

he still looks shaky, but it doesn't look as if he's thinking as much as he has in the past...still has a way to go but much better

He seemed to be playing with a bit more snarl at times last night. He needs that in his game to be effective as well. Hopefully last night was a step in the right direction. Sometime just some confidence goes a long way, and I would think a goal would boost that a bit.

He needs to bury that as does Foligno on the breakaway.

I severely doubt we do, but it's not like it's a surprise people are predicting it

Really impressed with Foligno play so far, he seems likes he's playing at that third line power forward level that most of us hoped he would eventually become. Larsson is also looking good, a little fast jump, being a pest, and causing mistakes to happen on the opposition. Girgs: so happy to see him do something. If you would have told me Zemgus would be where he is at that this point back 2013, I would have told you that you're crazy, but I hope he can build off of last nights game.

Disappointments:
Ennis- I know it's a long road back from his injuries but I'm still not seeing much from such a talent player. Although, it may be his line mates and the way he's being used.
Gorges- makes a good play, then makes a bone headed play.

On the fence:
Reinhart- He's looking good, but I hate the way he got bumped of the puck in OT, it reminded me of when Mark Recchi bumped (I forget) of the puck in the 2011 playoffs. But, really what I want to see more out of Reinhart is control of the puck, it doesn't seem like it's ever on his stick and he's such a talented center even if he's not playing center. I think we could use his creativity in controlling the flow of the game if he holds onto the puck a bit more and dictates the play.

I really hate the way the divisions are done now. There's not one person in mine that I know.

our bottom six provided next to nothing last year. we had 4 20 goal scorers last year, 5 if you count mcginn, the next highest total was giontas 12. if you really wanna be a three line team you need more than 7-10 from your third line guys.

I wouldn't call getting cross checked from behind into the boards getting "bumped off the puck." Most players in the league will get "bumped off the puck" in that situation.
